Stories surround us. We grow up with stories. We instinctively know what a story is, and yet, no matter how strong our urge to write one, the hardest thing is often knowing where to start.

Where to Start is a two-hour creative writing workshop that unpacks our storytelling instinct. Through thinking about characters and their needs, we will discover how to use obstacles to develop storyline.
Whether you’re a first-time writer or looking to reinvigorate a long-term project, this friendly, supportive workshop in the heart of Cornwall will provide inspiration for your novel, short story or novella. Join us; it’ll be really fun! Please bring a notepad and pen, (or laptop, or tablet, or phone…)
It has been the greatest joy to see my adult learners go from not writing at all outside of class to becoming published, winning competitions, and going on to study at MA level. Email whatgailwrote@gmail.com for upcoming dates at Camborne and St Austell libraries, and ask me your questions too!
